Its peak is about 2&#8217;500 meters above sea level and its center depression is about 1&#8217;200 meters in which the water from the river flows into the sea.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>It is located in the Canary Island of La Palma and it became a National Park in 1954. Geologists estimate the origin of this caldera to be about 2 million years and it was still an active volcano at that time!
