One of the great places to visit in spring is Keukenhof, the largest and most amazing flower garden in the world, it actually means «kitchen garden» in Dutch.

With 32 hectares it is home for about 4’500’000 tulips among other plants and flowers. The garden was created in 1949, designed to help show off the Netherland’s flower industry which is the world leading exporter for flowers.

The park only opens in spring, for 2 months and each year it honors a special theme. There are 15 km of walking trails and around 1 million visitors so make sure you choose your day! «whisper boats» are available to take a 1 hour tour and even get close to a swan! Another option is cycling, only permitted on the cycling routes and bicycle rentals are available.
