Hotel Kakslauttanen is located in the Saariselkä fell area in beautiful Lapland, close to Urho Kekkonen National Park.

Their 20 glass igloos have thermal panels that prevent frosting. The region is known for good visibility 200 nights a year, so chances are good for sightings inside this remote and dreamy dome. They are available from December till April more or less depending on the weather and Aurora Borealis are visible from late August to late April.

The hotel is open all year long with other types of accommodations like log cabins, restaurants, bars, the largest smoke sauna and many winter and summer activities.

During winter they offer husky safaris, snowmobile safaris, reindeer safaris, ice-fishing trips and guided ski treks. In summer they offer boat trips to river Lemmenjoki, fishing at lake Inari, sightseeing trips to Utsjoki and Midnight Sun trips to Kaunispäa fell among many others.
