900 years old wooden church!
Borgund Stave Church is a stave church located in Borgund, Laerdal, Norway. Between the years 1100 and 1300s, there were about a thousand churches build along the old trade routes in Norway.
Borgund Stave Church is classified as a triple nave stave church of the so called Sogn type and it is the oldest and best preserved of all the 28 remaining. To built it they used the same technology from the building of Viking ships all 100% wooden constructions. Just amazing!
