Where to eat good rice in Madrid?

Spain is well known for the «Paella» but all those of you who got the chance to visit Valencia and taste their many rice dishes know, that there is plenty of delicious ways to cook rices.

Although it might seem easy to cook such rice dishes, it is not and that is probably why finding a good rice restaurant is such a difficult task!

In Madrid, José Luis Varona and his wife just opened their «Arrocería» in the Tetuán quarter. His culinary experience starts in the Valencia region where he was born and continuous in Madrid. He has won 4 years in a row the first price at the «certamen arrocero» in Denia.

The restaurant is decorated in orange to honor its name «Entre Naranjos» which means «In between orange trees». They have a wonderful covered terrace, a little corner to enjoy an aperitif, the bar and the restaurant with 8 tables only!

The menu offers a nice range of tapas to share as starters before ordering one of their rices as main course. Toñi his wife is a very good pastry chef so deserts are homemade and delicious too.

Our all time favorite rice is the «Arroz a banda» but they have many different ones to choose from.
